Co-created with Nottingham-based dance artist Lewys Holt, BAL: Pride and Disappointment finally premièred on 25 and 27 June 2021 in Escher Theater. This project started out as a remake of my previous work BAL, which was awarded the Luxembourgish Dance Award in 2017, and ended up somewhere completely new. You can't raise the dead. After a hot week on the top floor at The Place and reconnecting with the material, we met our costume designer Lydia Sonderegger at Dance City in Newcastle and put some wigs on. This week in Berlin we're pretty excited...

Thanks to all who came to our performance at Monodrama Festival Luxembourg and made it special! A week of preparation and dramaturgy culminating in a performance that swept Luxembourg away - Go Lewys! Huge thanks to Thomas Schaupp, our dramaturge for his insistence and generosity, and to Nangaline Gomis from the Jeune Ballet du Conservatoire de Lyon for her presence...

The Passion of Andrea 2 is creeping back into the studio after a 6 month break, in the solo form (for now) of Lewys Holt. Sneak preview on Saturday (15.6.) at the Monodrama Festival in Luxembourg where everything is happening. If you can spot Andrea in the picture things are as they should be....
